This Bell47D started as a Hirobo Bell47D and was inspired by my son Eric. As with all the Hirobo models,
building it was very straight forward but I chose to swap out included Tanaka engine with a Zenoah Z23H.
Mostly just because I prefer the Zenoah engines. I didn't use the Tanaka, so I do not have any opinion either
way on this motor.
The Bell 47 is a popular first scale model as it is very accessible to work on and does not require a lot
of disassembly to monitor the condition of the mechanics. There is ample power from the gasoline motor and
together, it sounds much more scale on gas and is completely scale with a two blade rotorhead and tail unit.
