I really like the Lama but I wanted a model that was smaller and could be flown with the same comfort as
as my gas models. The Vario Allouette II fit the bill perfectly. The full size Allouette II is made by the Aerospatiale
who also make the Lama.
Building the Allouette II was very straight forward and was more difficult than the Hirobo Lama but not as
challenging as a Len Mount fuselage. Vario has put significant effort into putting together a very nice model
that will accept a wide range of engines and yet can be completely detailed without a major overhaul to the
helicopter mechanics. Once you build one Vario model, you will likely be hooked as there is just so much
selection available from them. A truely inspiring model helicopter manufacturer.
