I chose the T&T Engineering Aluminum rotorhead conversion using Xcell head components which is a great rotor
head and was designed for direct replacement on Xcell helicopters. I strengthened the frames by doubling them, a hop
up tip I got from an Xcell rep at the time. The original flexible tail drive was adapted for my custom
low take off shaft and the Xcell tail rotor assembly was mounted in the elevated tail.
Its first flight was just incredible, to see a years worth of work to get the mechanics sorted out and it hovered
rock solid. I was hooked, bigger is much better. Easier to work on as you can get your hands inside, easier to see when
flying and nearly any scale detailing, accessories or parts can be added without losing performance.
