Modelers building an Apache or SuperCobra will really appreciate this accessory from Super Scale. Designed for 1/6th scale (60-90 class) models, the Hellfire launcher can be assembled as a dual or quad rail depending on the variant you are building and when combined with the Hellfire missiles, adds a high level of scale realism that any modeler can achieve.

The Hellfire launcher is very straight forward to assemble and consists of two modular launchers. Each missile launcher can be assembled as a two rail or four rail design, but four is the most commonly seen on the Apache. The top of the launcher is designed to fit the standard weapons pilon and holds the upper missile rails. The bottom rails are connected by a vertical riser. The top and vertical launcher parts are cast resin and the missile rails are basswood.

Launcher Details Shots Four Rail Launcher Version: After assembling the launcher set, each modular launcher can be installed in a different configuration to add a little variety to your model. Build a fully armed version with sixteen Hellfire missiles or mix Hellfire with any of the other weapon systems mounted to Apache helicopters.
This instruction sheet comes included with each kit and gives you more details of how the launchers can be finished in either the four rail or two rail variants. Adding simple scale details like mounting lugs, fuse wiring and launcher fittings.

Installation Tips

The launchers can be assembled then painted before attaching to the weapon pilons. The wood rails should be primed, sanded and then painted in the final color to avoid the wood grain showing. The cast parts only require minor sanding before painting. When building the four rail version, if you paint first, remember to sand off the paint between mating surfaces to improve the adhesion between parts.
