Bell 407 Long Ranger
This is a moderate size model that will accomodate 60-90, gasoline and turbine mechanics. The tailboom section
is the more traditional two piece design that attached just behind the main cabin. This is a craftsman model which requires that all
the window areas, vents and access hatches, main rotor, tail rotor and engine exhaust areas be cutout from the fiberglass. The
fuselage is well detailed with panel lines, but a creative, seasoned scale builder can add quite a bit of detail to this
model and still maintain excellent flying characteristics.

When you first open this fuselage, it is extremely well packed and everything is wrapped in plastic bags and then the paper and styrofoam
peanuts are added to protect the components. After unwrapping each component you start to realize just
how much detailing has been done to this fuselage, but there is still plenty of work ahead. Major openings need to be cutout. The fiberglass has good
surface finish and the parts are lightweight but reinforced with carbon fiber to add stength and to reinforce around areas that you will need to remove material.
There is plenty of room for nearly any helicopter mechanics, either glow, gasoline or turbine. Most of the photographs show the turbine model.
