Agusta 109 Retracts

Operating scale retracts have always been a challenge for the Agusta 109 fuselages. While the full scale uses this unique folding door system, duplicating this on a scale model was nearly impossible until now. We have worked with LHC to re-introduce this retract system that now makes it completely functional and relatively simple to install. Designed for the 60 class LHC or Funkey fuselage, we have written a manual with photos to take you step by step through the process of installing the retracts. Included are templates for the two new formers that support the rear retract mechanism and thoroughly cover the key points.

The front retract is a traditional folding, forked strut that holds the front wheel. Cut outs need to be made in the bottom and sides for the retracts. Two servos are connected by a "Y" harness to any switched channel to raise or lower your retracts. As servo speed will affect the speed that the system responds, we suggest finding one of the electronic servo-speed regulators to avoid having your retracts 'snap' up and down.

Sequence of Operation

Wheels are included along with all the components and linkages. You will need to purchase 1/8" plywood and 1/4" square hard wood from your local hobby shop.
