SLS Lighting System
SLS100

Everything is included in the lighting systems to be up and running in a few minutes. It takes longer to decide the lighting layout for the model than actually turning the lights on. The SLS system has been designed so that no soldering is needed as all the components plug together.

The SLS lighting system is designed from the start to be reliable, simple to install and just work. There is no soldering because the optionally available lamp extensions allow you to position all lights anywhere on your model. In helicopters, this normally is the beacon located on the tail of the model and the extension can be easily routed on the inside of the tail boom. In aircraft, the left and right wing and the tail navigation lights can be similary installed using the additional lamp extensions.

The system has a very low battery consumption and is safe to use on all electric models. The receiver connector is a generic JR style plug that is directly compatible with JR, Futaba and Airtronics systems which use the 'Z' connectors. As a precaution, if you have old Airtronics, prior to the 'Z' connector, check to make sure that polarity is matched to your receiver.

The remote ports on the module operate as straight forward on-off for the lights that are attached to them. It is easiest explained when the module is connected to the 5th channel on a helicopter radio, where channel 6 is used for collective and 5 is normally a switched channel for retracts. Reset the channel if it has been previously used from something else. Hit the switch and the connected lights will turn on and off depending on the switch position. To reverse the on-off state, if you prefer the switch in its opposite position, normally reversing the channel accomplishes this easily.
