Starwood Scale Models takes your privacy seriously.
This policy covers how Starwood Scale Models treats personal information that we collect and
receive when you interact with the our web site and online store. Personal information is
information about you that is personally identifiable like your name, address, email address,
or phone number, and that is not otherwise publicly available. This policy does not apply to
companies that are listed on our web site. While we do list 3rd party products, such 3rd party privacy
polices are not under our control and you should become familiar with that company's policy
before using services on their respective web sites. Starwood Scale Models cannot control, nor
will be held liable for how a 3rd party company handles any information that you transmit to them.
Information Collection and Use
Starwood Scale Models collects personal information when you order products from our online store
site or "shopping cart" services. This information is used by us to fulfill your order; without
it we cannot ship you the product you have purchased. When you order we ask for information such
as your name, shipping address, billing address, email address, zip code, and phone number. This
information is kept on file for 5 years or until it is no longer necessary to archive by California
state law and the IRS. When you order we also ask for your credit card number and credit card
expiration date so that we can process payment for your order. This information is not available
to Starwood Scale Models employees outside of our secure online payment system, and is secured
once the payments are processed. Orders placed with Starwood Scale Models are collected and
archived in our company database and from time to time we will send you information regarding
our products and services.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
Starwood Scale Models does not rent, sell, or share personal information about our customers with
other people or nonaffiliated companies except under certain circumstances like in response to
subpoenas or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal
claims. If we believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or
take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, violations of Starwood Scale Models's
terms of use, or as otherwise required by law.
Cookies
Starwood Scale Models uses cookies and session ids while you are using our online web store. You
can choose to set the level of security within your browser software, however this may prevent
you from placing orders with our company online store. The information stored by cookies contains the
items in your shopping card and a session id. At
no time is personal information stored using cookies.
Control over your personal information
Your order information must be retained by us as a matter of law for a period of time set by law.
If you receive an email from our mailing list system and would like to be removed from our
database listing, you may ask to be deleted from our database by sending email to
sales@starwoodmodels.com.

come into contact with that information to provide products or services to you or in order to do
their jobs. In certain areas of our online store Starwood Scale Models uses industry-standard
