Jakadofsky PJW-PRO-TP Turboprop Engine with Mechanics

Were you curious about how to adapt a Jakadofsky turboshaft turbine engine to an airplane?

Jakadofsky has bundled the PJW-PRO engine with this variable pitch 24" custom propeller system. Propeller pitch is controller from a servo mounted in the front of the mechanics.

Note: the firewall in the photo is our tradeshow display and is unrealistic as compared to being mounted on a scale airplane and the included spinner covers the propeller hub completely.

Parts List

Part Description Price
PJW-PRO-TP Jakadofsky PJW-PRO-SW w/Turboprop Mechanics   $7506.40
PJW1500 Jakadofsky Mini Data Console   $87.75

In addition to the turboprop mechanics as pictured here, all the accessories and hardware provided with the helicopter version are included when you receive your engine, along with the standard data console. It should be noted that the ECU has an optimized program, tuned expecially for airplane applications which differs from the helicopter program.

As released from Jakadofsky in August 2006, new turboprop systems now include carbon fiber propellors. Customers using the wooden blades can now upgrade to these high performance carbon blades. Please contact us directly for details.

The propeller size is 24", early tests with 22" proved satisfactory however we chose not to produce the 22" propellers. A single servo adjusts the propeller pitch from -4 to +13" at constant prop rpm and is a serious "constant speed drive system" without any delay. Pitch and thrust changes are performed as fast as the servo is powerful! The turboprop units feature outstanding workmanship made of high strength aluminum. Mounting brackets are included and allow quick and easy installation into your favourite aircraft. Includes variable pitch 24" propeller and spinner.
