Multi Main Blades:
Each set of multi main rotor blades is a work of art! Talking with any modeler who has flown multi-rotor helicopters will agree that 30%
depends on the rotor head design and setup but 70% of the flying characteristics come from the blades themselves. Don't be fooled by low-cost multi
rotor blades, the key to the design is extra weight, but more importantly is that the weight is located along the leading edge. The blades will either
make the scale helicopter fly well but somewhat different from a traditional two blade setup with flybar or not flyable in forward flight at all.
Once you receive your OF rotor blades, you will immediately see the difference and the quality and effort that is put into each set of blades. OF multi blade
sets are available in left and right rotation and mostly in semi-symmetrical 'S' airfoils for improved performance in scale models. However, OF does offer
symmetrical multi blades sets in a few sizes.
The OF multi rotor blades are designed specifically for the OF multi rotor heads and are suitable for other
multi rotor systems. To help our customers evaluate the correct rotor blades for their model, here are the individual rotor

Each rotor blade set is pre-balanced. Symm = Symmetrical, Semi = Semi-Symmetrical, sometimes called
S Profile and generates more lift for the same pitch angle over a symmetrical blade of the same length. This characteristic
makes them popular in scale helicopters because the head rpm can be lower, and generate the same lift. Typically shorter,
semi-symmetrical blades are preferred on multi-rotor heads because they maintain excellent lift and can be flown at lower head speeds.
Shims and Different Blade Bolts:
Main rotor blades are commonly shimmed to fit into larger main blade grips using large diameter, flat washers
to take up the extra space. If your main blade bolt is a larger diameter (5-6mm), the majority of OF main blades can be
drilled using a centering fixture to accurately enlarge the hole. If you are not comfortable with this type of modification, please
seek help from experienced modelers. The 875mm OF151 & OF152 series, the OF161 & OF167 series CH-53 800mm narrow cord rotor blades cannot
be modified because of the carbon reinforcement located at the bolt hole.
Please note: We do not make rotor blade modifications ourselves and any modified blades are not returnable. Starwood
Scale Models will not be held liable in the event that your blades are damaged as a result of making modifications.
Each blade in odd numbered multi sets is pre-numbered to assist in setting up the head.
Even numbered multi sets come with two sets of pre-balance blades and replacement blades can be ordered in pairs.

Originally designed for the OF CH53 giving the modeler more flexibility in their rotor head setup and engine
choice. The narrow cord width allows greater pitch angles with an overall higher head speed which normalizes your
pitch setup. Same rotorspan but at a reduced load means the current trend of engines can be better utilized and
you obtain more resolution in the pitch range which makes the model easier to control. These are very scale in
appearance and are gelcoated in white but can be easily painted for your model. Each set is balanced by hand for
