  > Starwood  >  Turbine Mechanics

The turbine mechanics have been designed for the Jakadofsky turbine engine. Here is the first picture of the completed mechanics with the first production release of the Jakadofsky RS engine already mounted. The top engine mount mechanics are offered in two versions with either a long or short main shaft. This diversity makes the SMT mechanics very versatile for fitting into a larger number of scale fuselages.

The top mount mechanics are intended for fuselages that have space behind the main shaft to fit the turbine, like the Huey, Cobra and Lynx. The bottom mount turbine mechanics is essentially the base for the Odyssey turbine helicopter without the tail boom & canopy. The bottom mount mechanics are designed for fuselages that have a high tail boom like the Hughes 500, Jet Ranger, Bell 222 and Twin Star. If you are thinking about putting a Jakadofsky turbine into any fuselage, give us a call and we can help you with your project.

Features:
• 12mm Main shaft available in long and short shaft versions.
• Black anodized Aluminum side frames for ultimate stiffness and rigidity.
• Long machined Aluminum bottom brackets to attach mechanics into fuselage.
• Large toothed spiral main gear with autorotation unit and matching steel spiral pinion gear.
• Three push-pull machined bellcranks for 120° CCPM swashplate configuration.
• Forward mechanics have slots to mount cyclic and collective servos.
• Anti-rotation bracket behind main shaft for precise swashplate control.
• Tail rotor take-off exits below turbine on a 5mm shaft.

Part Description Price
SMT1001 Turbine Top Mount Mechanics, long main shaft, LH or RH $1628.00
SMT1002 Turbine Top Mount Mechanics, short main shaft, LH or RH $1595.00
SMT1006 Turbine Bottom Mount Mechanics, LH or RH $2340.00

PRO-SW Jakadofsky PRO-SW Turboshaft Turbine Engine $5650.00
PRO-5000 Jakadofsky PRO5000 Turboshaft Turbine Engine $6136.00

Notes:
The mechanics do not include rotor head, swashplate, washout unit, tail rotor gearbox or tail rotor drive system. When choosing the turbine engine, please indicate if it will be used with a standard 2 blade rotor head system or a multi-blade system as the turbine must be purchased with the correct clutchbell to achieve the correct head speed. If you have any concerns about the correct gear ratios, feel free to contact us.
