Rotorway Exec
LM1017

This fuselage is one of his smaller sport scale models that is available for 60-90 glow and gasoline mechanics. To be scale, any standard 2 blade main rotor head will work just fine with a 2 blade tail rotor. The top fairing is two pieces which will allow the mechanics to be disassembled without removing the rotor head.

When you first open this fuselage, it is extremely well packed and everything is wrapped in plastic bags and then the paper and styrofoam peanuts are added to protect the components. Major openings are already trimmed while the windshield and upper cabin windows need to be cutout from the clear window set. The fiberglass has excellent surface finish and the parts are lightweight but reinforced in areas that will be attached to other components.

The sport scale Rotorway Exec includes the scale landing struts and skid landing gear. Similar to other scale models with scale fairings for the landing struts, care and time must be taken to align the landing gear before bonding it into position. To keep the fuselage cost to a minimum Len chose not to include wood in the fuselage and only includes the paper templates, the wood needs to be purchased separately. The tail boom needs to be installed and in a scale installation the tail rotor is mounted on the right side of the tail boom.

Fiberglass Components:
Main Body, Tail Boom, Top Hatch Front & Rear, Elevator Left & Right, Vertical Tail Fin and Landing Struts Left & Right.

Clear Components:
Windshield, Pilot Door Windows Left & Right, Upper Windows Left & Right.

Metal Components:
Heavy duty aluminum landing skids.

Wood Work:
No wood is provided in the fuselage and must be purchased separately, but paper templates are included.

The following photo selection shows exactly what you receive with the fuselage. All fuselages are unpainted but the last few photos show Len's paint work on the Rotorway Exec fuselage. Click on a photo to see the larger image.
