Lynx AH Mk7
LM1011

The Lynx is another large fuselage that will easily fit gasoline or turbine mechanics. The AH Mk7 is an army version that has landing gear with skids unlike the more commonly seen wheeled landing gear. There is an incredible amount of detail on the fuselage that allows the modeler to fully detail the helicopter.

The Lynx helicopter was Britian's solution to replacing their aging Wasp and Scout helicopters that were in use in 1965. This new design would be technologically superior, require less maintenance and offer an alternative to using the American Bell Huey helicopters. The new Lynx helicopter took to the air in March 1971 and became the primary aircraft for tactical transport, armed escort and anti-tank warefare. The Army version which Len Mount has modeled uses landing skids as compared to Navy version that uses wheeled landing gear.

The size of the Lynx fuselage is well suited to gasoline mechanics but it will easily accomodate the new turbine mechanics that really makes this an an ideal fuselage to add all the scale detailing including a cockpit, various access hatches and weaponry. It should be noted that the missiles and missile launcher need to built by the modeler. New modelers should be aware that between opening your new Lynx AH Mk7 fuselage box and finishing the model can take between 3 to 12 months, depending on how much time you can commit to building and finishing.
