Does this fuselage fit my helicopter mechanics?
This is the toughest question to answer when a new fuselage is released and the answer is just as complicated. Once
again it really comes down to the individual's experience in building models. To qualify our answers, we will use the
following definitions to help you understand our rating system. In addition, if we have specific notes on fitting
other mechanics we will add them here for reference.
F - Mechanics fit within the fuselage perfectly.
M - Mechanics can be fitted into the fuselage with minor modifications and/or with additional parts.
X - Mechanics will not fit into the fuselage.
AP100 AH-64A Apache Scale 50 Fuselage
F - Century Hawk Pro 30, Falcon 30~50, Raven 30~50, and most 600-700 class electrics
M - TTR Raptor 30~50, JR Airskipper, Trex 600
To install the Raptor, Airskipper or Trex 600 mechanics in the Apache fuselage,
the Approach Engineering Tail Drive Shaft adapter is required to convert the mechanics to use the flexible tail
shaft drive system. This is a 4mm flexible shaft and has been rigorously tested on the Raptor to ensure that it
is 100% reliable using a modern heading lock gyro and high speed tail servo. In addition, a shaft driven tail
gear box is needed, however we have been able to convert the Raptor tail gearbox to shaft drive using common
replacement parts from Century. A list is provided in the instruction manual for the parts needed to convert the
Raptor tail gearbox. While this single conversion has been thoroughly tested by us on the Raptor, extreme care
must always be used when mixing parts from different manufacturers. Beginners should seek assistance from
experienced modelers before attempting to change parts on any model that were not designed to work together.

F - XCell 60 Standard, SE, Century Predator 60~90
AP102 AH-1F eCobra Scale Fuselage
F - Century Swift 16, Mikado Logo 10 and most 500 class electrics
X - Trex 500
The Trex 500 is a direct fit physically into the fuselage however, the tail drive
belt is a little too wide. We have been informed by Approach Engineering that they have abandoned their
search for a reasonably priced belt.
