AH-1F Cobra
AP101
When people think about the iconic combat helicopter, the Cobra runs head to head with the
Apache because it was the very first dedicated gunship designed for anti-tank warefare. The Cobra is very
popular among modelers simply because the underlying mechanics are straight forward, almost any pod and
boom sport helicopter makes a good choice for the Cobra.
AP101 AH-1F Cobra 60 Scale Fuselage Assembly Kit $387.00

The Cobra was introduced during the Vietnam conflict as a result of the Army
needing an advanced and dedicated gunship for anti-tank warfare. The AH-1F variant was the most
technologically advanced gunship until the 1970s when the twin engine Cobras were commissioned. The AH-1F
was deployed in both Desert Shield (1990-91) in Saudi Arabia and along side the Apache in operation
Desert Storm (1991).
This AH-1F model has been designed for the 60 to 90 class nitro and electric model
helicopters with a rotor span of up to 61.4" [1560mm]. While each modeler decides how much detail
is added, each kit includes the TSU (telescopic sight unit), 20mm three-barrel cannon, 7 tube FFAR
rocket launchers and Tow missile launchers. New modelers should be aware that between receiving your
new AH-1F eCobra fuselage kit and finishing the model can take between 3 to 6 weeks, depending on how
much time you can commit to building and finishing.
